MAKESHIFT= Scott Bourne, Jason Land & Tom Bishar
I Hear What They Say...
Classes are mandatory... Gingerail tastes good... alcoholism is a disease... but I say WRONG WRONG WRONG! It ain't a disease if you enjoy it!
So what the hell is goin' on with me lately? Well I'm glad you asked...
On Friday I worked then I went to see Mitch Hedberg and Stephen Lynch with Lara, Alex, Joel, Noah and Deema. Those two are some funny motha fuckers. I hate downtown. Parking is such a pain in my ass. Screw big cities.
On Saturday I worked s'more... then I went to go see Bill Cosby with Lara, Grace and Deema. I even wore a sweater and bought Jell-O for us all to enjoy. You gotta get into the spirit, no? Bill Cosby was pretty funny. I don't know if everyone else enjoyed it... but it was cool cuz I watch this guy all the time, and now he's sittin' in front of me in a HELLO FRIEND sweatshirt, sharing anecdotes about married life and dentistry.
On Sunday I went to softball practice then partook in a guys' day at the Moose house. Watched football, played football video games, ate pizza... had a great time. I then picked up sissy Tina from the airport. and when I call her sissy Tina, I am not saying she is a sissy... I am saying she is my sister. Get it?
On Monday I went to school then work. I stopped off at K5 on the way home and got myself an early birthday present. I got a new watch. It's silver. I like. I then met Daniel at my house... we hit up 7-11 in VP and went to my softball game. Damn we suck. We lost by 10. I got a single, based on an error and a triple. I coulda made it home... but if I woulda got tagged out the game woulda been over... so the coach didn't wanna risk it. Damn. I wanted that fuckin' HR too.
On Tuesday I went to class and then went to an INTERPOL CD signing at Lou's with Tina. We ran into Joe and his friend. I like that kid... haven't talked to him in a while. Got my CD signed... grabbed lunch with Tina. Fun day.
Today I had two tests. Think I did well on both of 'em. Had a pop quiz too... 100%. Got some lunch with Daniel and Joe from CSUSM. We got KFC. I seriously haven't been there since senior year when Joel, Scott, Paul and I used to go there like twice a fuckin' week. I didn't like it too much, but I am a pretty easy going guy.
Remember that time when Sam got yelled at in Chili's by that old woman? Funny dinner.

Note to Self: I Miss You Terribly...
Shoutout to Alex and his little emo lyrics.
Tuesday- Drums with Micah. Lunch with Micah. Madden with Moose. Our best of seven series will continue on Sunday. it's Chris 2, Tom 1. All three games have been decided by 5 points or less. The winners were Chris with KC and Minnesota, and me with Atlanta. Crazy series... CRAZY.
Wednesday I had class... yadda yadda yadda. I went to the mall with Daniel and bought two shirts and a pair of shorts. He bought two pairs of shoes and shorts. We spend money when we get around each other. We both tell the other that they look good in something and they need to buy it. We're like little girls. It's fun. We watched MYSTIC RIVER in class at night. It was a pretty good movie... good casting.
On Thursday I went to both of my classes suprisingly and then went to work. I had to stay late cuz Frenchy McChef was signing books at the bookstore upstairs and my dad was pouring wine and called me in case he needed me to get him stuff. Joel came and kept me company. We had a ball... there was Reeve Oliver, Quarters, calzones. What more could you ask for? During Quarters, both of us started to bleed. That's the fun part though, right? What's more fun than drawin' blood? I don't know either. Daniel stopped by with his sister Rachel to show off his tattoo. It's a cross with the word JEDIDIAH written inside and II TIM 2:15 underneath. A crown of thorns is resting atop the cross. It looks really good. Can't wait for my birthday so I can fuckin' get mine damnit. It's been too long.
Tina left yesterday. You will be missed Tina. Have fun in Sonoma! Don't let the atmosphere get to you.. i.e. Don't smoke weed and don't make out with other girls. Call me!
There was a kid in my History class that was telling me about all the tattoos that his sister has. She has a bunch. He also told me that if he ever got drunk enough, that he would get a dragon tattooed on his penis with the tongue of the dragon being the penis head, and the wings being on his balls. Quite inventive this one. He then told me that his sister had a lot of piercings, and that he thinks she has one of her nipples pierced. I knew what was coming. "I also think she has a piercing below her Mason Dixon line if you know what I mean." I didn't. But I do know that she has her clit pierced.

It's About Damn Time...
So today I went to class and hung out with Peter afterward. Always a great time when I see him. I know I say that a lot, usually everytime after I see him, but it's true damnit. Get off my damn back. Then I went to class, and I hung out with Daniel. I then went home and dominated with Ace Nixon. Oh yeah... I went to Guitar Center too and bought a new drumhead. Stopped by Qui's house too. Dropped off some money for the Jimmy show.
We had a softball game. If that's what you even wanna call it. Grandma, dad, Dora, Bobby, Patrick, Chris and Jason all came to the game. What a great game to come see... we lost 21-9. Ouch. I was however 3 for 3 with two RBIs and a run. That's why I got the game ball damnit.
Notice how all the information before this was filler? Well the real reason I wanted to blog was because...
I was watching TV and all of a sudden this VICTORIA SECRET commercial comes on. Now this gets my attention good and plenty, no? It was for a bra that lifts and separates or some shit like that. I wasn't really paying that much attention to the concept. But here's the kicker... what song do you think is playing in the background?
IF YOU HAVE A MINUTE WHY DON'T WE GO TALK ABOUT IT SOMEWHERE ONLY WE KNOW?
Keane... Somewhere Only We Know. Does anyone find that funny but me?

"Hey... I have an idea. Why don't we just take the same shitty techno beat and play it in the background of each song!"
Last night was the FM 94.9 Independent Jam. Let's see how it was...
The Secret Machines played first. They weren't anything special. No bass... two singers. I am not really lookin' forward to seeing them with Interpol in October. But hey, what can ya do?!
Death Cab For Cutie was pretty damn good. They played THE NEW YEAR, TITLE AND REGISTRATION, and SOUND OF SETTLING. Their ending was apparently epic, because everyone started cheering and freakin' out. The guitarist and bassist jumped off the kick drum, and the crowd went nuts. Amateurs.
Muse. Muse was pretty fuckin' great. Matt Bellamy, the frontman and guitarist is quite talented. He is very energetic on stage. He dances, kicks, jumps, shuffles, and wails on that fuckin' guitar. I found myself watching him more than the drummer actually, which is a very rare occurence. Their bass had some gnarly effects, and their drummer was pretty good, even though he was a lefty. Ewwwww.
Franz Ferdinand. I think the title of my blog pretty much sums them up. AWFUL. Ugh. Every song sounded just like the one preceding it. If that's the best band that Scotland has, then I never want to go there. You'd think that they'd push their best band. God I hope they didn't. The fuckin' singer started introducing everyone and was annoying as shit. Who does that anymore?
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I liked them. They were very different and I thought entertaining. I think the drummer's name is Brian, and he was fuckin' amazing. He is obviously a jazz drummer, and you can easily tell by the style he plays, not just by how he holds his sticks. Nick Zanner the guitarist was pretty good too. They are very musically talented. Karen O was interesting to say the least. She is wild as hell... and everyone knows what kind of underwear she has on cuz she wears short skirts. Nobody in my group seemed to like them... but they were entertaining. They are one of those bands that you just gotta see. Karen O didn't know when to come in for MAPS. Kinda sad. I was pissed that they didn't play Y Control. That song is amazing.

"I had problems getting my penis up... So my girlfriend and I both tried to fix it. She bought me viagra, I bought her a treadmill."
I went bowling tonight with Tina, Lara, Deema and Dora. I dominated. DOMINATED. Tina got second place and she had a 98. I obliterated the competition. I got a 140. Damn kids. DAAAAAMN!
I went out to lunch with Joel and Scott today for Scotty's birthday. Happy Birthday Scotty! It's too bad you're leaving in a couple days. Oh well... it's not like you read this anyway.
Sobe and Blue Ice is good everyone. Take care.
Tomorrow is the church party. Should be a good time. The Mooses are coming, which can only make any party better.
Saw Noah today... I was happy.

You know you had a good night if in the morning you are shitting purple!
So I've been as busy as a hooker with rent due this past week. On Saturday the fam came over and we had a shindig of sorts. On Sunday I went to lunch with Jillian and regailed. Haven't seen her in over a month, and we have the best times together. She's swell. At night Tina, Lara, Alex, Deema, Dora and I went to get dinner and then watched some movies at the Stapley pad. We watched LEPRECHAUN: IN THE HOOD with Ice T. It was pretty damn funny. Nobody liked it but me. We then watched Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN. That movie wasn't that great. True, it was almost a softcore porn, but it was mostly male genitalia, and I have full access to that whenver I want. Hey family, do you think we should start calling our cousin GENI? I think I'm gonna nickname her GENI, cuz she already has the TALIA... ya know? Is that completely fucked up?
Alex has a restraining order against him. Too bad it got dropped. Oh well... I'm proud of you anyway Alex, except when we are in public together.
On Monday I went to the Epicentre with da band and we recorded my drums. Jason is quite the whiz at recording... and we muscled out five songs. When I say "we" I mean I was in the recording room playing the drums, Jason was playing the bass for me to follow, and Scott would occasionally play the guitar. Though it seemed he wanted to play the DIE HARD video game more, it was a good thing that he showed up. I am quite anxious to hear what my drum tracks sound like. I listened to some of them, and I thought it was awesome that it sounded all professional. I was giddy like a schoolgirl. But I'll get to the schoolgirls in a bit.
On Tuesday I went to class then out to lunch with Lara and Grace. I think I ditched my first class. On Wednesday I went to class in the morning and ditched my second and third classes and got lunch with Michelle. I hadn't seen her in like 8 days, which is probably a record for the two of us. The last time that happened was when I went to Michigan, or something like that. It's crazy.
On Thursday I went to class and had lunch with Tina, Lara and Grace. After class I worked then I went to Daniel's place to watch the Indy/NE football game. It was a pretty good game, but Indy had too many mistakes, and it cost 'em. It was sad. I nearly cried. It's sad how sports get me this riled up.
On Friday I worked for five hours then I met up with Bobby, Patrick and Chris and went to Tony Roma's for dinner. We talked sports, girls, burps, beer... ya know, typical guy stuff. We were watching the Miami/FSU game at Tony Roma's but it went into OT so we hurried to my place and finished up the game. Later, Scott came over and Patrick, Scott and I went to TGI Fridays where SAE was having a frat party. The theme was PROFESSORS AND SCHOOLGIRLS so of course there are bunch of HOT HOT HOT girls walking around in schoolgirl outfits, which is hot as shit. God I'm such a guy. But hey, everyone knows it's true, so why deny it? It was an interesting night to say the least. But a good time was had by all, no? Eh Scotty?

I Saw The Funniest Commercial...
Scotty was at my house on Tuesday and we were watching Saved By The Bell and this commercial came on. It was an internet conversation going on between two people. It went something like this.
A: Hey, how's it going?
B: ugh, nothing. my mom won't take me to the mall.
A: That's too bad. I turned 16 last week and I just got my liscense!
B: Really? That's so cool!
A: Yeah... I can take you to the mall whenever you want!
B: That'd be awesome!
Then the camera flashes to the A person. It's this like 35 year old man who goes online and pretends to be a teenager so he can abduct kids. Sorry... I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that commercial. Scotty was disturbed by it, but it was pure comedy to me. I can't wait to see it again.
