Does anyone agree with me?

Isn't it kind of pathetic that instead of people asking me how I am, they choose not to talk to me and read my blog? I think I am going to be blogging a whole lot less. I've lost my luster. Lost my luster...

and I only have tickets to The Get Up Kids show, and, the Motion City Soundtrack show, and the Dave Matthews show. That's a whole lotta money that I need to raise. But hey... it'll all worth it really. I'm estimating about $250. That's pretty damn steep.

Boy... I've been watchin' you like a hawk in the sky

Tina picked up Lara and I from the airport. What a gal. What a pal.

We met Grace and Grandma at Rubio's. We then went home and met Sammy Ginn. We had softball practice. Practice got hardcore all of a sudden. We actually practice. I'm glad. I really am.

At night, Daniel came over and watched the Pistons beat the Pacers. Sorry Michelle.

We then went to visit Kristen for a bit, then met up with Tina, Sam, Lara, Corynn, and Allie at BJs in La Jolla. Pretty good pizza.

Today I slept in till 11:30. Went to work... work is fun. Work will be plentiful I am guessing.

I then went to get dinner with Michelle, Joel and Fawn. We had a good ol' time. I can't seem to get through a day without pissing off Michelle. But she always seems to forgive me. I love you Michelle!

I then went to go visit Daniel. His best friend Trace came over, and we went to Blockbuster and rented NBA BALLERS. Quite the game... I finally beat Daniel.

No silly, bums don't go to heaven*** Scott T. Bourne

Wow... it's almost time to go. I have to meet Lara at the bus stop in 10 minutes. Time to leave UCSC and go back home. I had a great time here though. Big "ups" to Scott for letting me stay with him. Big "ups" to Jason for buying me all of my dinners. I woulda spent a lotta money on a hotel and meals if it weren't for these two. You two are my favorite banana slugs.

So let's see... Friday morning we ate after they got back from class. We walked around the campus some more too. Scott, Victor, Ryan and I took a bus downtown to go get Ryan's car and bring it back to campus. That night we congregated in Redhead Scott and Taylor's room and kinda chilled up there. A big group of us then went to go see OFFICE SPACE downtown. The buses there cost $1.50 to non-UCSC students. It didn't take change. Luckily, Jason/Victor/Jenny and I devised a handoff plan, which saved me a lotta money actually. After the movie we all went back to school, and Scott and I went to Hauna and Siri's room. We stayed there till about 4:30am and went to sleep

The next day, Saturday... Scott and I woke up and went to see Natalie's play, BOX SET. It was pretty entertaining I guess. It reminded me of LCC, since I haven't seen a play since. Afterward, we went back to his dorm and listened to the end of Jason's ska radio show. I requested INFECTION by RX Bandits, and he dedicated it to Baloo. The last song he played was "She has a girlfriend now" by Less Than Jake I believe... he said "This song goes out to Lara Shaply, or Shapley, because she's a fan of the homosexuals." I called Lara... she loved it. That night we went to a party that Jason's singer told us about. It was downtown. So Jason, Scott, Ryan, Tara, Hauna, Jenny and I waited for 75 minutes for this God-forsaken bus. It was not fun. Well actually I enjoyed just sitting there... shootin' the shit with some new friends. The party wasn't too bad actually. Met a couple nice people. There was a bit of an incident that night... I'll explain it to the people who care. I'd rather not post it, so let me know if you care. We went back to Scott's place, the drama escalated.

Sunday... Scotty and I went to the mall. I had the worst mexican food ever. Ugh. Heard a gunshot in the mall or somethin' like that. SHIIIIIIIIT.

That night, Scott, Jason, Victor, Ryan and I went downtown to meet Lara, Vea, Shane and Lauren at Chili's. It was a pleasant evening. I spent $11.50 on the bus that whole day.
At night, Jason, Victor, Natalie and Siri came over and we watched Ed Wood, starring Johnny Depp. It was actually a really good movie.

Well, goodbye Santa Cruz. I had a great time up here, and I can't wait to come up here again next year. Should be interesting to say the least... Again, thanks to Scott and Jason for making my trip a memorable one. Go Banana Slugs!

Ewww! I don't wanna touch him! He's black!

That was Natalie's response to Scott asking her to catch a snake he was chasing. Anyway... so yesterday morning I went to pick up Daniel and Ty and go to the tow lot again. I fuckin' parked on the driveway to the lot and this guy said "whose are is that? It's about to get towed." So I said it was mine and started to walk toward it... then this big mother fucker in a forklift came out of this lot and started following me. What a stupid fuck.

I went home and packed and showered and all. I forgot my towel and toothpaste. Always forget somethin', right? Tina and I met Lara at TWC and Tina drove us to the airport. The plane was delayed 30 minutes. Sons o' bitches. Lara and I were in the very back of the plane. The flight attendant, or waitress... as Lara referred to her, thought she would make the preflight check a little entertaining. She started saying things like, "If our flight suddenly becomes a cruise, use the cushions as flotation devices." If the cabin pressure decreases, little masks will come down. Put yours on first, then choose which of your kids you like more, and help them." Shit like that. Pretty entertaining. I tried to fall asleep, but I kept getting my head hit by everyone that walked by to go to the bathroom. When we landed the flight attendant started singing "Zipadee do da, zipadee day. Thanks for flying Southwest Airlines today" and so on. Lara loved it

Vea and her boyfriend picked us up and drove us to SC. I met Scotty and hung out in his dorm for a few hours. Natalie came by, and we walked around his campus. It is a very nice school. It reminds me a lot of summer camp. Scotty agreed. We went back to his room, and hung out some more, and Jason called. He came over, and we played guitar and talked. A lot of guitars are played in SC. Everyone plays. EVERYONE. Siri and Hauna came by to borrow laundry detergent. Met them... everyone up here seems pretty nice. There is this room where you can watch TV and play piano. We hung out there for a bit. The three of us went to dinner at 910, which is where Vea lives. The weirdest thing... I saw a guy that was in my econ class first semester. He still goes to my school though... I just thought it was interesting that I would run into him up here. I met Ryan too. Pretty much like Scott described him. Swell individual

Jason and Scott fought over the LCC Yearbook. Scott wanted to show Siri and Hauna Jason's picture. He did. Jason wanted to show them Scott's picture. Scott went off. He pounced on Jason, and put him in a headlock. The fight ended with Jason sitting on Scott, me taking pictures, and Siri in pain from being knocked into.

After dinner, we met up with Ryan and Victor. We hung out in Jason's room for a bit. I played the cello. I suck.

I met Ford too. Apparently that was a miracle, because no one ever sees him. I slept in his bed. It's very clean, because he hasn't slept in it all quarter.

This morning I had my very first experience of urinating with a girl in the bathroom. The bathrooms are co-ed. It was exhilerating. I kept imagining her breaking down the stall door and having at me right then and there. OK, not really... but hey, the showers are co-ed too.

I wish I had one this twisted game of boyfriends and girlfriends and best friends and best ends and this is how my heart mends...

Micah picked me up this afternoon. I was supposed to go to Guitar Center with him. He came and Ric was with him. I never really talked to Ric before today. He's a really nice guy. We went to GC to get Micah some mufflers for his drums. We then went to Rubio's and had some lunch. Went to Micah's house and shot pool and played some drums. Had a good time all around. I then came home and watched mah shows PTI and ATR. Great shows... honest. I then went to Alex's game at San Marcos. I think it's really funny that Alex's team thinks Grace is his mom, and thinks she is really hot. STAPLEY'S MOM HAS GOT IT GOIN' ON... HER TITS ARE THE BOMB AND HER ACCENT TURNS ME ON. That's hilarious.

I got my hair cut.

I watched the basketball game. Nice try Sacramento...

Daniel called me. Looks like his car got towed again! I went to pick him up from work, and we picked up Ty, and went to the same lot we were at six days earlier. The stupid fuckers got the wrong papers, then told us it would be $240. It was $150 last time! Apparently it costs $60 more because it was past 8:00pm. Also, Daniel bought Ty's old car, so last week his old car got towed, and this week his new car did. Well for his new car, the tow truck needed to use a pulley system... which costs $30. Bullshit.

So I dropped Daniel back off at work and hung out with Ty for a bit. I'm goin' there in the morning to pick up Daniel and take him to the lot. I hope it's the same guy that was there the week before. That'd be hilarious.

I'm off to Santa Cruz tomorrow. Yay for Banana Slugs.

Ever Read the Rules and Regulations of ANYTHING?!

When you are bored as hell... you do shit that you aren't exactly proud of. Well today at work, I decided to sign up for Lara's ICE CREAM CAKE FOR LIFE deal... I may not be a big fan of cake like Lara, but I am a big fan of beating Lara at things. Well I thought to myself, "I wonder how much a lifetime supply of cake really is!" Does anybody want to guess how much Cold Stone Creamery thinks a lifetime of cake is? Anybody at all???

120 cakes. Coldstone thinks, "hmmm... each person in the world eats an average of one cake a month right? And people only like cake between the ages of 18 and 28... so why don't we give them a cake for each month! That's a lifetime of cake!" They give you 120 FREE CAKE gift certificates. The 2nd and 3rd place people get 12 cakes... which is a YEARS SUPPLY apparently.

It starts stoppin'... when it stops stoppin'...

So I finished school. Sweet. I picked up Daniel because his car got towed. Ty, Daniel and I had a fun ol' time dealing with that damn redneck at the towing lot. Dumb bastard. Ask me sometime.

Fuckin' school wouldn't buy back my books.

Went to see Ben Kweller with Michelle. he was very very good. Reeve Oliver was pretty good too. They closed with a cover. Sean, the singer said he needed to put on glasses to sing this song. So he busted out these thick black frames and put 'em on, and the crowd started asking if it was gonna be Weezer. Turned out it was Lisa Loeb. "You say, I only hear what I want to. I don't listen hard, I don't pay attention to the distance that you're running... yadda yadda." The French Kicks weren't all that great. Ben Kweller was very good though. He played IN OTHER WORDS which is a great song. I am now a Ben Kweller fan. He's such a babyface. He's swell.

Michelle and I couldn't figure out if the person in front of us was a male or female. We got in my truck and she said "Ya know I feel a little bad about this, but I couldn't tell if that person in front of you was a man or a woman." I just looked at her and told her the exact same thing! This person was quite large, and had this really knappy curly hair in a pony tail, and these thin glasses. The person was wearing baggy jeans and a Phantom Planet shirt.

Gone in a week... I'm excited Scotty

***cuz shit that would pretty much suck the chastity right outta any room*** Joel

Took my psych final today. It was fun. Peter and Paul showed up 20 minutes late. I finished in like a half hour, and waited outside. Peter came out, followed by Paul a few minutes later. We all went to North County. Today was Paul's birthday, by the way. Peter bought a shirt and shorts, and I bought a jacket (sweet), sandles and shorts. I hafta get ready for Santa Cruz, right Scotty?

We went to lunch for Red Robin. The stupid waitress gave us our bill, along with onions even though Peter didn't ask for them. So anyway, our bill was $28.24 or somethin'... and we paid $40. The waitress waited a good twenty minutes to get us our money back. I think she thought we were really good tippers. Now there weren't many people there... about five or ten other parties, two of which were hers. We finally got our money back, and I took five, Peter took five, and we fuckin' left. We were not happy.

Anyway, came home and watched ATR and PTI. Great shows... Tina doesn't know what she's talking about. Now I'm assuming Michelle, Lara and Scotty have never seen these shows, but they are interesting sports shows involving competitive banter. Riveting. Watch.

Had a game... we lost... I fucked up my leg. Check out my pictures to see it. We are still in the playoffs though.

i hope you are feeling better michelle

So yesterday was Micah's big firedance. He did a very good job, I must say. Of course there was a really hot girl there, and she was going out with someone. Shocking. I guess the old adage is true.... WOMEN ARE LIKE PARKING SPACES- ALL OF THE GOOD ONES ARE TAKEN, AND THE ONES THAT AREN'T ARE HANDICAPPED.

Afterward we (Tina, Lara, Michelle, Joel, Patrick) met Patrick and Chris Moussa at Tony Roma's. Micah and Krissy met us there too. I have a great time hanging out with the Mooses. Moose and Sparkle Moose are a gang o' fun.

Everyone came over today for Mother's Day. Fun stuff I guess.

I Wish I Was Hungary Bear...

so yesterday after Sociology class I went to lunch with Ty. Ty's a really nice guy. I think we get along very well. We can talk about serious shit, or not serious shit... all-around good conversations.

My GEL class lasted 20 min, and I went home and hung out for a bit. I talked to Scott on the phone for about 45 minutes... about everything from SC to sluts.

Went to LJ to pick up Michelle. Joel and Micah came over and we all watched FRIENDS together. It was a good ending to a great show.

During the show, Paul called me and asked me if I was going to go to our optional class this morning. I didn't really wanna go, but I decided that if he were there, then I'd go too. So I woke up at 9 and went, and he didnt' show up. In fact, I think it got cancelled, because the classroom I went to didn't have my class in it. Shit. Bullshit. So I went home and hung out, and Tina and I went to Lara's house. We went to get some lunch, then swam for a bit.

Joel and I then went to the Northstar/Moneen show. Northstar was very good, I must say. I was quite impressed. Moneen sure does know how to play long songs, with long titles. I ran into Colin there. Talked to him for a bit. I think we're jammin' again on Wednesday, but who knows. Work tomorrow... Micah's firedance tomorrow. All in all, should be a good rest of the week I hope.

THEY TOOK 'ER JABS! DOOK ER DOO!

So yesterday I went to my Sociology class. I realized that I actually like that class. It's pretty interesting to me. I am learning about criminology right now. ooooooh

After that I came home, because even though I called Kristen to get lunch, she didn't call back. She was at school I found out later.

I then went to GEL. Can't wait to finish that class.

Went to SMART & FINAL to pick up glue traps for scorpions. My grandmother found a scorpion on her fuckin' bed. She took a pair of scissors and cut it in half. She's fuckin' hardcore. She drops rocks on snakes' heads.

TWC was the usual.

I went to drop off a CD at Jillian's house. I miss Jillian... I don't see her nearly enough, now that Johnny fuckin' ditched us. It's a shame really

Did anyone hear about this basketball coach in New England? At their awards banquet, he gave a player a golden statue with a baby on it called THE CRYBABY AWARD. This was in front of his whole team and family. The kid was so embarassed he didn't show up to school the next day. The coach was fired from coaching but still teaches. What does he teach you ask? Special ed. Hmmm... now shouldn't this guy be a little more sensitive than most teachers? I wonder how he talks to his students. That's fuckin' harsh.

FUCK YEAH

The Get Up Kids song The Dark Night of the Soul was on the Real World San Diego episode. Hellz yeah.

Did you know that using metal spoons for caviar causes a reaction and changes the taste? THANKS QUEER EYE!

So this morning I had to make a delivery down in San Diego. I got 20 bucks for it... can't complain. I then picked up Paul from his house. Actually, I woke him up, so I watched TV for a bit while he got ready. We then went to the Toyota dealership to drop off my truck to get my oil changed. That was purely literal. We walked to the outlet center and went to Rubio's. I didn't have any money, and Paul still owes me $80, so lunch was on him. We got two street tacos, a taco a piece. They are about two bites each. Fuckin' shit. $1 for two bites.

We then got my truck, and I went to school to go participate in a survey. I was late, so I guess the guy left. I waited in his office for about 40 minutes. He showed up. It was quite the survey. I had to read all these really uplifting sentences aloud, such as "I HAVE GREAT FRIENDS." "MY PARENTS BRAG ABOUT ME." "I AM TOTALLY IN CONTROL OF MY OWN LIFE." Then I had to answer these questions. When I finished, Paul took the test. While he was taking the test, I went to type up a 600 word paper. It was only 599... oh well. It was a big hit, as usual. I ran into Paul after his test. He told me it was a very sad test. He had to read statements like "I AM WORTHLESS." "NO ONE LIKES ME." "I AM WASTING MY LIFE ON THIS EARTH." He got the other type of survey, the sad part. What luck. That's the last thing that kid needs... heh. Sucks for him. He was all sad when he got out. We ran into Micah too.

After my writing class, I was on my way to Micah's house to help him with his drums. I called up the Smiths to get my cowbells. Mini still loves me... silly dog. Tyler Coates aka Virg aka Tyco called me up because he saw me drivin' by. I went to visit him and Tre at the park. Tyler buzzed his head, and Tre has long hair... emo style. I shot the shit with the two of them for a bit. I hadn't seen them for a few months. They're cool kids.

I then went to Micah's house and chilled with him with the drums stuff. Drums are fun.

Went to the field to play our softball game. There were two teams playing before us. One of them had a doubleheader, and was supposed to play against us after their game. Well someone hit a ball into the infield, and the shortstop picked up the ball and threw it to second base. The second baseman couldn't catch it, and the ball hit her in the forehead. She fell to the ground. Apparently it was really bad. Tina and Lara said she had a bump the size of a baseball or somethin'. Well needless to say, they had to forfeit our game. So the Pirates are in the playoffs... with a 3-1 record. Swell. We only played two games!

Tina, Lara and my dad then went out to dinner to celebrate the win. Swell.

Sunday, May 02, 2004

Don't push us cuz we're close to the edge... we're tryin' not to lose our heads

So on Saturday there was a private wine tasting at TWC. It was swell. I worked from 11-4, and then came home and crashed. I then picked up Michelle, and we went to Fat Katz to see Laura perform standup. She was very funny, I must say. We met Joel, Patrick and Paul there. Michael Burton went after her... he was funny too.

We then went to Mission Viejo, then Barnes and Noble, then Shell to take some pictures.

This morning I cleaned the hell outta my closet. I made like Eminem. Hung out with Da Mullz. We shot some pool and I lost badly. I also bought the Modest Mouse CD. Props to Mr. Muller for paying for the pool... even though he'll never read this, THANKS!

I came home and lounged s'more. Time for South Park. THEY TOOK 'ER JABS!

Saturday, May 01, 2004

Oh yeah... another thing

Another reason why I think I'd be a good drummer is my quick wit. I usually get jokes right when I hear the punchline. I can usually tell if a joke can be understood by a wide range of people, or just a few quick ones. So if I was ever a drummer for a talk show host, I think my quick wit would come in handy! I could hear the joke, and just know when to do the *snare* *snare* *crash* thing. It would come in handy especially when the host improvs his or her joke... yeah.

Can I get the mozarella wedges and a chocolate pie?

So today I went to psych class. That class ain't that great without Paul and Peter. I was five minutes late... teach was six.

Afterward I went to the apartment. Daniel and I were supposed to go out to lunch, but he wasn't awake when I got there. The door was open, so I let myself in. He was still sleeping. He woke up, and we went to Tom's 22. Then we got some smoothies from Jamba Juice and went back to the apartment and watched a buncha MTV and MTV2 for about three hours. How fuckin' hot is Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas? Every male needs to know about her. *UGH* That's the sound I make when I see her. Ty came over and I chilled with him a little too. I then went to take my computer compentcy test.

I failed one of the five parts the first time... so I had to retake the part I failed. So I get to the place to take it, and the woman hands me two sheets of paper. TWO. The first time, I only had one. MOTHER FUCKER. The reason I failed the fucking test was because she didn't give me both sheets! FUCK THAT SHIT! I was pissed when I found out. PISSED.

I then went home, napped, showered, and got ready to go out. I went to see MEAN GIRLS with Tina, Lara, Talia and Olivia.
The movie itself was surprisingly good. There were a lot of funny parts that 13-year-olds probably didn't understand... but I still liked it.

The people at the theater were fucking ridiculous. What did I expect though... it was a buncha girls from Oak Crest and Digueno. I ran into Brian Reagan outside the theater. I talked to him for a bit. He thought I was calling him so he could cut in line. Uh... no. I'm not down with that. Everyone who is good friends with me knows that. I saw Vanessa inside. That was great. I haven't seen her in such a long time. She was one of my best friends in my spanish class and in the junior class all together. I wish I kept in better touch with her.

If I had a stand up career... I think I would talk about this: If I were ever lost in the woods or in a horrible avalanche, and I could choose one person to find me... I know exactly who I'd want. I'd pick the guy who controls the spotlight at the dances in teenage movies. That guy has the best eyes ever. He can spot a person in a crowd of thousands in three seconds flat. Amazing.

OK, so MEAN GIRLS. I think they tried to get guys to go see that movie by putting a lot of hot girls in it. Now this is probably the part of the blog where Lara starts thinking about rape and shit... but no. There's nothing wrong with thinking 17-year-olds are hot... because I'm 18! I thought there were hot 16 year olds when I was 17, so I'm supposed to stop now? Jeeze... I don't like when people make a big deal about that... it's pretty stupid.

I then went out to Coco's with Tina and Lara. The waitress really liked Lara's shoes, then really liked Tina's shoes, then said that she wasn't really feelin' mine. I was wearin' my tan Saucony's. Jeeze.
